Small Groups

We believe that one of the seven purposes of the church is to grow in friendship with one another, supporting and encouraging one another. Jesus told us that one of the marks of his disciples would be their love for each other (John 13:35) . To help accomplish this goal, we promote the formation of various fellowship groups in our church family. Each such small cell group will have its own distinctive emphasis which serves as one of its unifying factors. Some groups center around activities such as softball or quilting. Others focus directly on Bible study or prayer time. Some last only a few weeks and others are longer term groups. But all the groups include prayer time, exposure to Bible content, and significant social time. Being a part of a fellowship group is one of the best ways to find new friends and get to know others in the church family. Group leaders are encouraged by and responsible to the pastor.
