Quilting Class

Our "Quilt, Pray, Love" quilting class is comprised of a variety of about 15 ladies who gather at the church or in homes to assemble a quilt.  We mark, cut, iron, sew, piece, tie, and bind quilts for those who have had a loss of home due to a fire,  or those who have suffered through ongoing surgery and pain, those who need a lift working through a hard experience.  Our quilt class is open to all individuals who have a desire to be a part of feeling good while giving comfort through quilt making.  Some of our quilts go to Vera House, New Hope Family ministries,  Rescue Mission, and the VA Hospital.

Our classes meet every 2 weeks starting January 10th and usually meet at the church unless otherwise notified.  We meet from 10:30 until 1:00 p.m. and bring a bag lunch.  Occasionally, we bring a dish to share and enjoy the buffet and conversation with one another.  There is a short devotional, and a time of prayer.. This is a great way to learn a new skill, and join in the fun of seeing a finished product.  We do finish up quilt tops that people donate, or ones they want us to complete for them.   Contact Person:  Fran Filmer at 687-6518  or Toni Green  687-3477 to find out what to bring to class. The class is free, and open to the public. Donations accepted to defray cost of materials.. Just let us know you are coming.
