Noah's Ark Preschool

Thank you for your inquiry into our school.  We at Noah's Ark Christian Preschool are very excited to be offering a program in which your child through a hands-on environment will explore, learn and enjoy their first school experience.   Noah's Ark Christian Pre-School is an early childhood program whose purpose is to provide a Christian setting in which children can learn and grow spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually.

A loving, nurturing atmosphere will be provided in which children will learn about their uniqueness and potential as God's creation, and develop an attitude that "School is Fun".

We desire to complement and support the family unit. To provide opportunities for meaningful involvement of parents in the education of their children and our program.    We offer many opportunities for them to participate throughout the year.

Curriculum

The four-year-old curriculum centers around a letter of the alphabet, learning the formation and sound, each week as well as numbers, shapes colors,  the seasons and holidays. The themes are carried out through stories, project, songs, activities and field trips. Field trips include: the dentist, and a family hike to Mrs. Maum's beaver pond along with a picnic and games in the spring.  During Parent's Visitation Month, parents spend part of the day with us, including having a snack and reading to the class.  The local fire department  visits  the classroom.  The year ends with a graduation ceremony.  This program prepares the child for kindergarten.

The three-year-olds use a Thematic curriculum called Young Minds at Play. It's a program built on the preschoolers experiences of home and family.  We will provide an inviting opportunity for the children's language and socialization development.  The ability to listen, follow simple directions, routines and to work and play in groups is our goal for the children.  We will stretch their imaginations and promote creativity.

Prayer

Prayer at circle time and grace before snack happens every day. Bible stories are read and simple verses are taught. The children prepare a Christmas Pageant and programs for their families. Preschool Sunday for the children and their families is held in February. The children participate during the worship service by singing and acting out Bible verses along with other songs they have learned.
